About 20th Century Lighting

20th Century Lighting was born in 1998 when founder Richard Hardy began replicating missing parts for antique and vintage light fixture he was selling in his antique store in Beverly Hills - Jake's Antiques (named after his cantankerous but lovable Jack Russel Terrier - Jake). It wasn't long before he started replicating entire light fixtures after hearing from clients that they loved his fixtures but he just didn't have the quantities they needed.

One thing led to another and soon a lighting line was born. The fixtures were not only replications of original vintage fixtures but also new designs created to meet client needs.  

Today over 300 chandeliers, sconces and lamps comprise the 20th Century Lighting line. All fixtures are made to order, by hand. In addition, we love working with our clients to produce custom fixtures to meet their special needs.
